With over seven years in strategic communications and media relations, Tariq has developed brand systems that blend sharp positioning, thought leadership, AI integration and earned media strategies designed to compound authority over time.

Born in Hackney, East London, Tariq graduated with honours in English Literature from De Montfort University before beginning his PR career in 2018 as a trainee with the Taylor Bennett Foundation. He later returned as a mentor to support underrepresented talent entering the industry.

In 2020, he published When the Dust Settles: How to Get a Job in PR After the Pandemic, donating proceeds to Black Minds Matter. The launch was backed by PR Week UK, PRmoment and the UK Black Comms Network.

In 2021, Tariq was named in PR Week’s 30 Under 30 and joined the PR Week UK Awards judging panel.

That same year, he also joined the inaugural cohort of the BME Reverse Mentoring Scheme, a joint initiative between the CIPR and Taylor Bennett Foundation designed to drive structural change in the industry.

In 2025, Tariq was selected as a judge for the CIPR Excellence Awards and became a CIPR Accredited PR Practitioner, further cementing his commitment to driving standards and innovation within the industry.

Today, Tariq helps founders transform their voice, story and expertise into income-generating brand systems combining strategy, storytelling and sustainability to turn visibility into authority and authority into revenue and opportunity.
